Fudgy Banana Oat Brownies
Delicious gooey, flourless fudgy banana oat brownies made in less than 30 minutes, with a secret ingredient… I love making this simple recipe, especially because we almost always have all the ingredients somewhere in our pantry!
I love to make this recipe if I’m craving a chocolate dessert but don’t want to use 3 different mixing bowls for the batter or wait 40 minutes for it to cook.
All you need is a food processor or blender and an oven!
Food Processor or Blender?
Either one will do the job! However a food processor will give you a much smoother consistency! Using a blender might leave the batter a little chunkier, which is fine, it all depends on your preference.
What’s the secret ingredient in these Fudgy Banana Oat Brownies?
Black Beans!
You literally would never guess there was black beans in them if you didn’t make them yourself!
SERIOUSLY you would never know!! I made these for my uncle and cousins who were staying with us, and they all wanted more and never would’ve guessed there was anything “healthy” in them, let alone BEANS!
They are so sweet and gooey, it taste like classic brownies full of butter and sugar, but it’s really the maple syrup, banana, and black beans that make it so delicious!
What else is in these Fudgy Banana Oat Brownies??
Oats
Cacao powder
Banana
Maple syrup
Vanilla extract
Date sugar
Salt
Baking powder
Dark chocolate chunks (my favorite brand is Hu Kitchen Dark Chocolate Gems)
Do you have to use banana?
You can swap out the banana for 1/3 cup apple sauce! BUT the banana really makes this recipe so unique! The banana with the chocolate flavor is incredible, plus it makes it SO gooey!
If you don’t have a ripe banana, but still want delicious brownies, you could make these decadent One-bowl Fudgy Chocolate Muffins that can be made into brownies!
