1½cupspearl barley, brown rice, grain of choice!dry
1½cupsred/orange/white veggie of choice - I do equal parts butternut Squash and cauliflower
1½cupsgreen veggies - equal parts green beans, peas, and broccoli, whatever you have
¼tspground turmericorganic
¼tspground gingerorganic
¼tspsea salt
¼tspdried basil
⅓cupflax oil, hemp seed oil, or coconut oil for a healthy fat!organic, cold pressed and filtered is best
Instructions
Measure the lentils and grains, and wash them well in a strainer
Heat a large stock pot on medium heat and add in all ingredients + enough water to cover everything (we try to use filtered water if possible!)
Bring water to a boil, and let simmer everything until lentils and grains are thoroughly cooked!
Allow to cool for a moment, then add in the flax, hemp, or coconut oil! Blend with an immersion blender to break down everything for effective nutrient absorption!
